RIM Selects DUB as "Featured App" in BlackBerry App World
VIENNA, Va., September 21, 2009 - DubMeNow, developer of the first application for exchanging contact information using a mobile phone, today announced RIM has selected DUB as a "Featured App" in BlackBerry App World. In just 5 days since being featured, more than 30,000 BlackBerry users have downloaded the DUB application making it one of the most popular BlackBerry apps.
"Our downloads have been doubling every month and we've received great user and industry reviews," said Manoj Ramnani, founder and CEO. "The number of downloads and interest since being featured confirms the need for a better way to exchange and manage contact information."
DUB recently launched its new Locate feature on their BlackBerry and iPhone applications allowing users to instantly exchange information during in-person meetings. When two people meet and click the Locate button in the DUB application, DUB will prompt them to exchange contact information including links to their blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and others. The contact information is saved directly to their address book and automatically updated when it changes.
